Modern Greece traces its roots in ancient Greece which is considered as the cradle of Western civilization and it is there that, by Archestrate, the first cooking collection came to the light at the 4th century BC.

At the 4th century BC, the tradition had evolved to such an extend that Alexander the Great created a cooking school where they taught to future cooks the techniques of the epoch borrowed from India, Iran and Egypt.
The Greek cooks made pastry making a major art.

Historically the forerunner of the Western cuisine, the Greek cookery primarily uses fresh products; she shares a large number of dishes, customs and techniques with Italy and the other countries of the ancient Byzantine and Ottoman empires.
She spread her influences throughout the ancient Rome up to Europe and really beyond.

Since the year 2010 Greek cuisine, the Mediterranean diet, is part of the UNESCO World Immaterial Heritage.

Then it is there we decided to launch our gastronomic tour and more exactly on the Corfu island and Santorini that is described in the the myths that was the mother place of the legendary city of Atlantis.
